Longtime commercial banker Larry C. Stephens, Jr., was recently promoted to Houston Commercial and Industrial (C & I) Market Manager.
Located at Whitney Bank's River Oaks financial center in Houston, Stephens is now the executive responsible for leading the bank’s Houston-based middle market and corporate banking team in developing opportunities and solutions for C & I clients. He brings over 17 years of experience providing specialized financial services to companies and executives in the dynamic Houston market.
Stephens first joined Whitney Bank in 1998 as a management trainee, rising to serve Whitney clients as a corporate banking vice president for eight years. He was later a senior vice president at Frost Bank and, most recently, a Regions Bank senior vice president. He returned to Whitney Bank in October 2014 as the Houston middle market banking team leader.
When Larry Stephens came back to Whitney Bank in 2014, he brought a solid record of client service, commercial banking expertise and strong insights into the core values and commitment to clients at the heart of our Whitney organization. He has extensive knowledge of the region and its business community and a proven record of tailoring banking solutions that fuel the growth and success of large and mid-sized businesses.
Stephens served in the Army and Navy Reserves for 11 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance, from the University of New Orleans.
